A New Era - The Argyle Kits Reviewed

Writer: Argyle ZoneArgyle Zone

It's fair to say that after the league one season ended, the news was fairly slow for Argyle fans.

June 20th. The transfer window had been open for 6 days, with the season just over a month away. Clubs across England had begun their signing sprees, released the Home, and for some clubs the Away attire already. Yet for Argyle? Nothing.

With many fans doubting the club with its lack of announcements, suddenly something happened. Pleggy became our first signing of the summer. Within the next few weeks, there was non-stop drama, praises of the transfers and consistent kit leaks. A summer to remember. Though both the Home and Away jerseys were leaked, this only added to the hype around the club.

The Home Shirt

Green and...Gold? The 23/24 Home Shirt struck fans in being the first home shirt ever to include a colour other than Green, White Or Black (other than the sponsors). Like last season, this kit is a stunner. The Gold, reflecting our Champions' winning season, and the fact that we are back in the prestigious Championship create a real class to this shirt. Bond Timber are back, and don't disappoint on the shirt. This shirt really reflects the modern era of Plymouth Argyle and our journey back up the divisions.

Rating - 9/10

The Away Shirt

As per usual, the 23/24 Away Shirt includes a white aesthetic - this one however is impeccable. This is one of the most unique away shirts released by Argyle in years - Puma seemed to have made this distinctly for us, as per usual. A minty green line in the middle, and a lovely green and white lining on the sleeves and neck tops of a clean shirt.

Rating - 8/10
